During the final session with the initial 2 groups, we were privileged to have some well-being and resilience advice from a occupational therapist / mental health worker, who gave some mindfulness exercises to try which we were able to do in the garden at the workshop premises… albeit a little chilly, it was truly wonderful …

It is so good that with an educational and support group element to our sessions we are able to go ahead with the workshops as planned. So far 2 groups of 4 ladies have enjoyed collage, craft, batik, Enviroart, textiles and more – please browse the portfolio sections to see the themes behind each session …
Although both groups have had to self-isolate over the last couple of weeks, they have still been journaling away with various creative thoughts and ideas, working on “Me boards” and reminiscing about past journeys, holidays, childhood pastimes, current hobbies etc… I’m looking forward to sharing more of their work in the portfolio pages soon.
It was so great to get the first set of workshops underway before Lockdown No.2 Meeting these lovely ladies and seeing them nervously excited to carve out some “Me” time… Can’t wait for the next session…

After 5 years of putting this project together I am pleased to announce that funding has been approved during this round of applications and we will be starting to get the creativity flowing very shortly!
