Mehndi Henna Artist
Tan developed an interest in Mehndi (henna) during her early childhood thanks to her Nan (God rest her soul) who would carefully mix the natural henna powder with black tea, sieving, blending and folding the paste to achieve the perfect consistency, then letting it set over night in order to create a beautiful deep colour. Tan would watch her Nan apply Mehndi designs on her own palms very steadily using a toothpick.
Tan loves meeting wonderful people through her art and creating beautiful designs not only to impress but to make others smile. She would love to participate in the “I Am ME!” project. She says Henna art is so therapeutic and great for mental health and we can always learn new things on our journeys through connecting.
